I’m Kathleen, writer and owner of this blog. I am also paid to write for another blog on Skin Care and beauty products, however, this blog is my own.
A little about me
I studied nursing but with the advent of motherhood decided I needed a more flexible working life. I, therefore, jumped at the opportunity to earn some extra cash writing, as I was able to fit this into my rather busy schedule. Now with a bit more spare time as the kids are older and with my added knowledge of blogging, I have decided to start my own blog.
Why am I writing this?
This blog is in memory of my father, who suffered from gout. I hope my experience researching this excruciatingly painful condition to find a cure for my father will mean that anyone reading this will be spared the months of pain he endured until we had found a remedy that successfully “managed” his gout.
Why read this blog?
First – There is no permanent cure for gout, but much can be done to manage the pain of an acute attack, lessen the duration of an attack, and prevent future attacks. There are a large number of ways this can be achieved with medications and with alternative and complementary remedies.
I hope that by sharing the experience I gained looking after my father and helping him find a working solution to cope with his gout, will help you make good choices and speed up your own recovery to a life free from pain.
I will review the best of these remedies and make my recommendations, however, if you just want to go to the websites for these products please see the list below. Be warned, I’ll be going into both the good and the bad points, so if that’s something you might not want to hear, then you may as well leave now.
SEO & Digital Marketing
I would like to take this opportunity to also thank John Mac Donald (macproductions.com) for his help with SEO and marketing help on my website.
